Juliet Lodou Triumphs in Ngora NRM Primaries with 76.7% of the Vote

Juliet Achayo Lodou has emerged victorious in the Ngora County NRM parliamentary primaries, securing the party's flag . The results were officially announced by David Okiror, the NRM Electoral Commission Returning Officer for Ngora County.


Lodou garnered an overwhelming 13,507 votes, translating to 76.7% of the total votes cast. Her closest competitor received 2,449 votes, while Orengeje Simon Peter managed 1,684. The outcome reflects strong grassroots support for Lodou, who previously served as Member of Parliament for the same constituency.

 
In a statement following her declaration, Lodou expressed deep gratitude to the people of Ngora for the trust they have placed in her leadership. “This victory is not mine alone it belongs to the people of Ngora. I am ready to serve with renewed energy, commitment, and focus on delivering development and unity,” she said.
 
The primary elections were conducted peacefully across the county, with Returning Officer David Okiror commending both the electorate and the candidates for maintaining a calm and orderly process. He noted that the results were tallied transparently and in accordance with party guidelines.
 
Juliet Lodou officially signed the NRM declaration of results form, confirming her as the party’s flag bearer for the 2025 Member of Parliament race in Ngora County. Her candidacy now moves to the national stage, where she will represent the ruling party in the upcoming general elections.
 
With her strong mandate from the party base, Lodou is expected to run a vigorous campaign focused on inclusive development, education, healthcare, and empowering youth and women in Ngora.
