What was meant to be a night of celebration and musical nostalgia turned chaotic during the legendary Yona Chanles’ concert at Arrow Square, Soroti City, when Mark P's security team tried send Teso Gal off stage.
The much-anticipated event drew large crowds, eager to watch Yona Chanles, a respected figure in the Teso music industry, share the stage with r"stars like Mark P. However, midway through the show, tension flared when Teso Gal—known for actively promoting local artists—was allegedly confronted while livestreaming and interacting with fans near the stage.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as abrupt and aggressive. “She was filming and cheering on the performances. Next thing we knew, Mark P’s bodyguards grabbed her and started pushing her away,” one concertgoer said.
Speaking after the incident, Teso Gal shared her disappointment:
“I was just doing what I always do—supporting our artists and connecting with the fans. Suddenly, they told me to step down and started dragging me without explaining why.”
The situation quickly escalated, with fellow bloggers and fans rushing to her defense, briefly interrupting the show’s flow before order was restored.
The Teso blogging community has strongly condemned the incident, highlighting the growing tension between artists’ security teams and digital content creators.
“We play a huge role in promoting these shows and artists online. It’s disheartening to be treated like a threat instead of a partner,” said a representative from the Teso Bloggers Association.
The event, which was intended to honor the musical legacy of Yona Chanles, now faces criticism for the lack of professionalism exhibited by some teams involved. Fans have called for accountability, better coordination, and clear guidelines to avoid future conflicts between performers, security personnel, and media professionals.
As of now, neither Mark P nor his management has issued an official statement regarding the incident.
