The Iteso Cultural Union, under the leadership of HRH Emorimor Papa Iteso III, has announced a mini cabinet reshuffle aimed at strengthening institutional leadership, improving service delivery, and fostering unity across the Teso Kingdom.

The development has been confirmed by the Minister for Information at the Iteso Cultural Union Stephen Ojacor who said that the reshuffle reflects a strategic effort to realign leadership with the Union’s core mandate of promoting cultural heritage, enhancing social cohesion, and advancing sustainable development for the Iteso people.

The reshuffle introduces several new appointments, all of which take immediate effect. Hon. Oliver Tebaise has been named Minister of Cabinet Affairs, replacing Hon. Stella Rose Ademun. Hon. Otwani Gabriel Opakasi takes on the role of Minister in Charge of Clan Affairs, while Hon. Imentur Jonathan has been appointed Minister of Herbal Traditional Medicine. Hon. Isengede Nathan assumes the position of Minister of Agriculture.

In addition, Hon. Etyang Francis Ekembo has been appointed Deputy Minister of Mobilization, and Hon. Eweku Charles becomes Deputy Minister of Tourism. Hon. Davidson Elyau will serve as Personal Assistant and Executive Assistant at the Kampala Liaison Office. Meanwhile, Papa William Alloch has been appointed Senior Advisor on Institutional Affairs.

According to Ojacor, a key highlight of the reshuffle is the appointment of Papa William Alloch, a founding member of the Union, whose recent reconciliation with Papa Emorimor follows the withdrawal of a court case.

“ This development signals renewed efforts toward unity, dialogue, and institutional harmony within the cultural body”, Ojacor said.

Observers note that the move is a significant step in consolidating internal cohesion and strengthening the Union’s leadership framework.

The replacement of Hon. Stella Rose Ademun is part of a broader strategy to enhance operational efficiency and leadership effectiveness within the Cabinet. The reshuffle underscores a commitment to responsive governance and institutional growth.

The newly appointed leaders are expected to drive key priority areas, including cultural preservation, community mobilization, agriculture, tourism, and institutional development.

All changes take immediate effect, marking a new chapter for the Iteso Cultural Union as it seeks to build a more united, efficient, and forward-looking institution in service of the Iteso people.
