Veteran politician and senior government official Jeje Odongo has officially been sworn in as the Member of Parliament for Orungo County in Amuria District, marking the beginning of his new term in Uganda’s 12th Parliament.

The swearing-in ceremony was held at Parliament in Kampala , attracting fellow legislators, government officials, supporters, and family members who gathered to witness the occasion. The event marked another significant milestone in the long political career of General Jeje Odongo, who has served Uganda in various senior government positions over the years.

Residents of Orungo County welcomed the development with optimism, expressing confidence in Odongo’s leadership and ability to continue championing service delivery and development in the constituency. Many constituents describe him as an experienced leader whose influence in government has helped push for improved infrastructure, education, health services, and peace in the region.

Speaking shortly after taking the oath, Odongo pledged to continue working closely with the people of Orungo County to address key challenges affecting the area. He emphasized the importance of unity, development, and effective representation in Parliament, promising to prioritize the interests of his constituents during his term in office.

Political leaders and community members from Amuria District congratulated the legislator upon his swearing-in, noting that his vast experience in national leadership positions places him in a strong position to advocate for the needs of the people.
