Mariam Iculet Arikosi has been voted as the new Guild president of Mbarara University of science and Technology (MUST).
Iculet who contested on Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) ticket polled 708 votes to defeat the four men in the highly contested race.
National Unity Platform (NUP) flag bearer John Jonnes Bwengye came second after garnering 559 votes.Other candindates in the race include; Mutungisa who got 470 votes, Isiko polled 425 and Ruhinda got only 145 votes.
Iculet is a third year student of Bachelor of Science in Gender and Applied women Health.
