Nile Breweries Limited donated 20 fully loaded Oxygen cylinders to Soroti Regional Referal Hospital on Friday 23rd July.
The company Sales manager for Teso Subregion, Mr. Daniel Okorio handed over the donation to the hospital administrators headed by Dr. Wilson Etolu.
"This is not the first and last donation NBL has done to support the covid-19 struggle. In the first lockdown, NBL offered 25,000 Kg of posho, medical equipment to Mulago -worth 60m and fuel of 7,900 liters to the covid-19 task force," Okorio told the press.
The 75kg oxygen cylinders, will prove an immensely valuable resource in the fight against the pandemic and has the potential to save many lives.
Dr. Etolu Wilson thanked the company for their donation and also urged others to emulate Nile Breweries Limited.
According to Okorio, each Oxygen cylinder is valued at UGX 6.5m
