One of teso's news agencies Teso News Network – TNN together with teso vibez have called for Support from partners to support our team of Multi-media journalists to help in the publication of a multimedia documentary on defilement and access to justice in Teso Sub Region.
According to data gathered by their team, it has emerged that girls aged 10 -14 are becoming pregnant.
The data further shows that sexual violence has been further fuelled in the Teso due to Poverty coupled by inadequate access to justice due to corruption.
Reports also indicate that most of the babies are born to girls below the age of consent, and cases of sexual abuse of girls as young as 10 are being reported.
The team are however seeking for support of USD1000 to help facilitate the their work.
According to John Ogulei the lead investigator, there is a shocking rise in child sexual abuse in Teso and discovers that justice often comes at a price.
He notes that the team intends to reveal secrets and digging out injustices meted against young girls in the region.
