The music fight between top Ugandan female singers Sheebah and Cindy has moved into a new twist ahead of their anticipated concerts scheduled to take place on September 15, 2023, at Kololo.
The fight between the two developed after Cindy recently declared hosting a concert on the same day and at the same venue as Sheebah Karungi's concert dubbed "Yolo festival Ug" which is likely to intensify their ongoing rivalry.
Cindy's announcement came after Sheebah had already secured the venue for her own concert.
During a recent press conference, Cindy implied that she does not see herself as a competitor to Sheebah because she considers Sheebah to be a newcomer in the music industry.
"I see her as a young artist. I even wrote her first song, 'Ngenda Kunyenyeza.' I accompanied her to the studio and introduced her to the producer. I mentored her for an entire year," Cindy stated in her interaction with journalists recently.
Sheebah Karungi has since played deaf ears at the "king her self" although she recently couldn't hold the pressure and posted on her social media handle describing her self as the iphone while her rival Cindy as a Nokia.
"They have to talk about you, because when they talk about themselves,nobody listens", she added in another post.
The decision by Cindy Sanyu to stage a concert on the same date and at the same venue as Sheebah Karungi's concert has added fuel to their ongoing feud.
The clash between the two artists demonstrates the competitiveness and ambition within the music industry as it will only be the fans to decide on whose concert to fill up.
