Abia Primary School in Amuria district has received scholastic materials courtesy of the Ibiara Children’s Foundation, a nongovernmental organization. The donated items include books and pencils, specifically aimed at students in lower primary, particularly primary one to three.
Michael Ocar, the head teacher of the beneficiary school, expressed gratitude for the donation. He stated that the scholastic materials will greatly benefit learners who have been unable to afford writing materials due to a lack of support from their parents.
Gervas Edoku, commonly known as Kelton Gervas, the executive director of Ibiara Children’s Foundation (ICF), says their main aim is to provide holistic transformation to young people, especially in disadvantaged communities, through promoting education.
He encourages pupils to pursue their education with renewed enthusiasm, adding that not only Abia Primary School pupils need these items but many children need empowerment to have an effective education.
