Some Ugandans under institutional quarantine have turned isolation centres into 'bonking' pads.
Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary Dr. Diana Atwiine while on Radio One talk show revealed that some Ugandans under Institutional quarantine are having sexual affairs which viloates social distance measures.
" Ugandans are not serious, some of them who are in quarantine have began having sexual affairs. In Mulago they move from one room to another to visit their colleagues. This is too dangerous and will distract our efforts" Diana said
Last month the Ministry of Health gazetted 17 places to be used as isolation centres for those undergoing mandatory quarantine in a bid to stop the escalating coronavirus cases. Such areas include Hotels, Hospitals, lodges and Universities currently they are over 232 people under quarantine.
The group of people being kept at these centres are returnees from different countries and contacts of those who tested positive for the virus.
