A 17-year-old mother identified as Ketty Atim has committed suicide by hanging in Kisangani village, Agule, Pallisa district.
Its alleged that Atim and her husband have been into a bitter brawl prior to this suicidal decision.
According to the neighbors, Atim has been accussing her husband of having extra marital affairs and making late night phone calls from his mistresses.
Bosco Odeke the troubled husband admitted that his wife ghosted out of the house last night immediately he picked a call from a 'friend.'
Odeke claims he thought his wife who was 3 months pregnant was visiting the pit – latrine but 'she left and never came back.'
He embarked on the search until this afternoon when their son spotted her body dangling.
Atim has left one child.
George Emuria, OC station Agule police post confirmed the incident saying that such incidence are rising in the area.
Atim's death is the seventh suicide related case within this month in Pallisa.
Meanwhile, police fired teargas and live bullets to calm down the clash between the Odeke's parents and those of his dead wife.
Jane Francis Atuko, Chairperson Agule Sub county is calling for amicable means of handling family disputes.
