Soroti RCC Robert Adiama Ekaju has asked public servants to prepare for decent retirement from public service to avoid getting stuck on government facilities.

Adiama said this while officiating at a ceremony that took place yesterday 2nd September 2021 of the commissioning of a five classroom block and a five-stance drainable pit latrine at the Pioneer Primary School funded by NSSF.

He cited a case where workers refuse to vacate government houses due to a lack of preparation to retire as the workers have no comfortable apartments to live in.

The RCC urged the Town Clerk to secure the school in order to safeguard the installations therein.

"We need to renew perception in the dispensation of duty because everybody in the city is busy repackaging ways of doing things especially in resource acquisition and disposal even those without sources of livelihood want to be in the City," he added.
