The covid 19 task force team earlier this week extended the covid 19 vaccination exercise to as far as bars and the central market with an aim of vaccinating the big masses of people.
This follows a meeting held at the city headquarters by the covid 19 task force last month where they solved to have the vaccination extended to as far as places of worship, bars, and markets.
On Thursday, the team was at the Soroti main market, and yesterday Friday 22nd, Oct 2021, the exercise took place at thunder 24/7 lounge.
Julius Okwadi, the proprietor of Thunder lounge f explained that after the covid hit the region, a lot of things got affected, and with the kick-off of the vaccination exercise, he picked it as a great opportunity to bring it closer to the public who were worried of the long lines in the hospital.
"We have a number of staff, loyal customers, Boda Bodas cyclists, and others it's from there that we got this idea, discussed with doctor Etolu who welcomed the idea and the turn is ok, we are hoping to make this a vaccination site every Friday" he added
