Church choir at St.Patrick Catholic Madera parish in Soroti City East was today's Sunday left over whelmed after the Soroti city East MP Herbert Edmund Ariko donated to them a brand new uniform during the first mass prayers (St.John Paul 2nd) and for the second choir that leads during the second mass (St.Micheal the arch angel).
In his speech, Hon.Ariko thanked the choir for the great hymns during the church service and promised to continue supporting the church and appreciated the community in Madera parish for the great love they showed to him as their leader.
70 uniforms were given out to the two choirs, a vessel for the parish priest and the catechist.
He further informed the christians of a new development project of a health center 3 in Otatai ward where 1.5bn ugx is allocated through the budget where he is a committee member and another 1bn ugx designated to Soroti city east for the road sector for the financial year 2023/24.
He also added up the health center is promise from the state health minister after the people of Otatai requested for a facility by the time she has visited.
" I will work with soroti city leadership to see through that land is secured, that money should be able to put up a good facility in Otatai and i promise to lobby for the promise of Opuyo ward and others as I shall follow up to ensure that money allocated in different projects is used well",
According to him, if the contractors do their work well, then it will bring out good progress so that next year they shall do something else dedicated for the development of the city council calling upon people to put politics aside and focus on development as he is committed to service delivery and urged people to embrace different government programs that are present inorder to improve on their livelihoods.
Rev.Fr.Hendry Agit the parish priest of Madera who led the mass,appreciated the member of Parliament for the support to the church and thanked him for being a responsible leader and one who is reachable once called upon urging the christians to continue praying for him.
