The Chairman LCV Katakwi district, Hon Geoffrey Omolo has urged Christians to desist from dubious acts and ask them to turn and begin seeking the kingdom of God.
Omolo made this call following an integer of Christians who have turned to witchcraft more than worshiping God. He pronounced this while addressing mourners at the burial of Mzei James Okalany in Ongogonja sub-county.
He said most people are trusting in witchcraft to protect their lives, forgetting that God is the sole life-giver.

Rev. Fr Achedu in his continued summon asks Christians to shun witchcraft practices.
Fr. Achedu, one of the prayer warriors in Soroti Catholic Diocese, says the community's belief in outdated cultural practices has been cited as one of the factors leading to a high number of mentally disturbed people in the country.
Susan Akello, one of the Christians from Katakwi in an interview with our reporter confirmed the act of witchcraft by some of the Christians.
"We need to carry out crusades monthly to save the souls of many people," Akello said.
