President Museveni's former presidential press secretary and media advisor, Tamale Mirundi, passes on.

Joseph Tamale Mirundi, a former presidential press secretary and media advisor to President Museveni, had passed away after battling an illness. He was admitted to Kisubi Hospital in July and placed in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

 

Among the first to confirm his passing was his close friend and fellow political commentator, Frank Gashumba. "Very sad news! Tamale Mirundi has passed on. Kitalo nyoooooooo!" Frank posted on the X platform.

 

Singer Eddy Kenzo also mourned the late Tamale Mirundi, posting on his X: "Kitalo nyo ekya muzey Mirundi banange mukama okusonyiwe ebyakusobako bambi R.I.P Mr. Tamale Mirundi until we meet again ????".

 

About the late Tamale Mirundi:

 

According to sources, he was born in 1964, Tamale was a journalist, author, and political analyst who appeared on various TVs, including STV, NBS, and other online platforms.

 

In 2022, he launched an online newspaper, Kab News, and appeared on NBS Television's One on One show. He joined STV Uganda in 2021 for The Sharp Talk show and Embuga, which aired twice a week.

 

Tamale was a part-time writer for the Munno newspaper before becoming a professional journalist.
