Teso Boarding Primary School has sent shockwaves through the education sector following its outstanding performance in the 2025 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), whose results were released today.
The school recorded a remarkable 56 candidates in Division One and 26 in Division Two, a performance widely described as one of the strongest in its history.
The exceptional results have been credited to deliberate leadership and a strong focus on teacher welfare. Speaking after the release of the results, the school’s Resident Director, Mr. Richard Omusei, said the success was a product of prioritising teachers’ motivation and ensuring timely payment of salaries without interruption.
He noted that when teachers are supported and valued, they are able to deliver their best in the classroom.
Mr. Omusei further revealed that he remains personally involved in the day-to-day running of the school, closely monitoring teaching activities, motivating staff, and facilitating learning processes to maintain high academic standards.
He also expressed gratitude to parents and pupils for their discipline, commitment, and trust in the school, describing the results as a shared victory.
The Headteacher, Mr. Benard William Okello, described the 2025 PLE performance as extremely impressive and a significant improvement compared to the school’s 2024 results. He explained that the school’s strategy of critically analysing learners’ performance and refining teaching methods played a key role in ensuring excellent outcomes.
According to Mr. Okello, continuous assessment, targeted academic support, and teamwork among teachers helped identify learners’ weaknesses early and address them effectively, leading to the remarkable improvement witnessed in this year’s results.
Several pupils who spoke to this publication expressed heartfelt appreciation to the administration and teaching staff for their guidance, dedication, and encouragement throughout their academic journey. They credited the school’s supportive environment for their success.
