Popular Ugandan musician Alien Skin has revealed that his recent break from the music scene was a strategic decision aimed at increasing anticipation for his work, as he prepares for a highly anticipated return with an Eid concert.
The singer said he deliberately stepped away from active music engagements to create demand and allow fans to miss his presence before unveiling new projects.
“I took a temporary break from music to create scarcity around my work. Now I’m back and this time I’m giving my fans a special gift, a concert on Eid,” Alien Skin said.
The announcement signals a fresh chapter for the artist, who remains one of the country's most influential and controversial entertainers. His return comes after months of speculation from fans about his reduced visibility in the industry.
Alien Skin also used the opportunity to address questions about whether other musicians would join him on stage during the Eid celebrations. “Even if artists don't appear, the show helps them and even if they don't come I have many songs which take more than a day for me to perform,” he said.
