Hon. Elotu Cosmas, 49 is the Mp Dakabela County
Dakabela County was curved out of Soroti in 2015 after the district council resolved that the administrative division is too big to be catered for under one unit.
Dakabela consists of the Sub Counties Arapai, Tubur and Katine.
Profile
In 1984, Elotu sat for his PLE at Odudui Primary School in Soroti district, he later joined Teso College Aloet where he sat for both his UCE and UACE in 1988 and 1991 respectively.
In 1994, he attained a Bachelors’ degree in Science in Statistics from Makerere University.
He is currently pursuing Masters of Business Administration from Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI)
Before joining policitcs, Elotu was actively working with an NGO World Vision, an Evangelical Christian humanitarian aid, development, and advocacy organization. He served as Team Leader (Indonesia), Logistics manager and the operations manager.
He also worked for United Nations World Food Programme from 1995-1999
He joined active politics in 2016 as a Member of Parliament for Dakabela.
Elotu is however one of the ‘dumb’ MPs representing Teso in parliament. He is has barely said anything on the floor.
