Saf-Teso urges journalists to lead fight against health and climate change concerns in the society

Journalists in teso sub region have been urged to be at the forefront of fighting against climate change and health related issues in the community.

 

This follows the series of reports concerning the negative impact of climate change in the society brought up by different human activities, environment hazards and health concerns.

 

While talking to this website,Michael Anguria, the Chief Executive Officer of Shine Africa Foundation in Teso explained that the organization is coordinating all health, environmental, and human rights CSOs in NorthEastern parts of Uganda, specifically in the Teso and Karamoja Sub-Regions, and it strives to build collective efforts through its member organizations to combat and prevent the climate change crisis, HIV, TB, Malaria and other STIs as they collaborate with prominent local, national and international organizations to end TB/AIDS and save the Planet by 2030.

 

He further explained that by having different sectors like media on board, the information can be circulated widely and have the intended message spread to the public.

 

The organization further handed over bicycles to the selected beneficiaries to help in their mobility in the field.
