SOROTI - The evening sky over Soroti City was alive with celebration as fans, artists, and notable figures gathered for the Teso Entertainment Awards (TEA) 2024.
Held last night at Hyde Park, the event attracted a large crowd and was a grand showcase of talent and achievement. A lineup of electrifying performances and emotional moments marked the occasion as the best of Teso and Karamoja’s music and entertainment industry were celebrated.

Best Dancehall Song – "Opotu" by Josh was awarded Best Dancehall Song, a track that kept fans on their feet all night.
Best Gospel Song – "Ebenezer" by Amoding Faith inspired the audience, earning her the award for Best Gospel Song.
Best Comedian of the Year – Dolopiko took the stage as the year’s top comedian, filling Hyde Park with laughter.
Best R&B Song – "Elai Akello" by Dlebo was crowned Best R&B Song, showcasing his smooth vocals and emotive delivery.
Best Legendary Artist – Lazarus Okwakol was honored as the Legendary Artist of the Year, a moment that moved his son, Patriots CEO Timothy Okwakol, to tears of joy as he accepted the award on his father’s behalf.
Best Reggae Song of the Year – "Eboss" by Mokas claimed the award for Best Reggae Song, adding a reggae flavor to the night's vibe.
Best DJ of the Year – DJ Mato spun his way to the title of Best DJ, known for his ability to keep the crowd energized.
Best Song (Karamoja) – "Emilimili" by Mozey Fizza was recognized as the best song from Karamoja, highlighting the diversity of musical talent.
Best Artist (Karamoja) – Evy Treyz was named Best Artist of Karamoja, showcasing his unique style and contribution to the region’s music.
Best Hip-Hop Song – Sparo UG’s "Akatungan" received the Best Hip-Hop Song award, a track that resonated with hip-hop enthusiasts.
Best Traditional Song – "Emorimor" by Candy Man won Best Traditional Song, celebrating the cultural heritage of the region.
Best Video Director of the Year – Dir Wolf took home the award for Best Video Director, lauded for his innovative visual storytelling.
Best Audio Producer of the Year – Laz on the Beat was awarded Best Audio Producer, recognized for his high-quality productions.
