Over 60 boreholes in Ngariam County got repaired

KAZI NI KAZI Foundation has repaired 56 boreholes that were left inactive for a long time in Ngariam County.

 

Daniel Mulalu the founder of KAZI NI KAZI foundation and Private Secretary for mobilization in Teso region acknowledged the significant work towards achieving clean water coverage in Ngariam and Katakwi district at large.

 

 “More work is needed to achieve universal access hygiene change in core public health programs and policies,” said Mulalu

 

He urged the community to make the value of using boreholes properly maintained.

 

He encouraged them to support government programs such as Emyooga, PDM, and youth livelihood programs which he said would help them to jumpstart life.

 

Meanwhile, the councilor representing Getom Sub County in Katakwi district Jimmy Okello during an interview with our reporter thanked KAZI NI KAZI foundation for the collective effort towards clean water.

 

He asked the community to guard water sources jealously while using them

 

Chairman LC1 Corner Francis Onyait appreciated the KAZI NI KAZI Foundation for its kind heart towards the people of Katakwi and he asked the community to come up with rules that can surface guard water sources.

 

Rachael Apio treasury of Ainene village at Getom Sub County in Ngariam county Katakwi district said the move by the prospecting politician was sis so unique in the way that left Hope in the minds of the people of Ngariam.

 

“We’re ready to work closely with Mulalu during the fourth coming elections following what he has done to the people of Ngariam” Apio added

 

Patrick Okure secretary in the office of local council one in Getom hailed Mulalu saying his speed of support to the community has forced other elected leaders in the district to be anxious about their future.

 

He, however, asked the leaders of Katakwi to embrace developmental issues rather than divisionism 

 

Mulalu under his KAZI NI KAZI foundation has repaired boreholes including at the border between Teso and Karamoja which is now being used by both Iteso and the Karamojong.
