After losing narrowly in the FDC party primaries last time, Ben Ocan, has not given up his quest for Ngora County.

He has bounced back energized and well oiled like Tullow for the same seat. He is in good books with the old adage, "Tomorrow never dies, and today is not yesterday."

Ocan wants to dethrone incumbent David Abala from Ngora County throne and send him to 'exile'. He says Abala's best home of abode is the National Theatre where comedians take their jokes but not Ngora the backbone of Teso's elite.

But before he faces off with Abala, Ocan will have to first take on David Okurut and Ben Eumu in the FDC party primaries.
"Awanyi konye engo Eumu kede Okurut aiwany. Inyobodo inera ijo? Imarak elagano ngon kwape lo adaun," eturo Ocan, kiwiligai akanin bala akoto aipet ekwam!

HIS LEADERSHIP JOURNEY

Ben Ocan is an infectious Diseases specialist with a veterinary and laboratory background.
His journey of leadership started from Teso College Aloet where he served as a house captain for Epaku House. While in Bukalasa Agricultural college, he served as a coordinator for FDC and a guild speaker.

"When I joined Makerere University, I was privileged to serve as Chairperson for FDC MAKERERE UNIVERSITY CHAPTER, Guild student representative, speaker for Biomedical Students association and speaker for Teso Students association," Ocan vomits.
While serving as a chairperson of FDC in Makerere University, he was privileged to lead and inspire a vibrant team of students who have later on turned to become very resourceful leaders at National level.
Some of these include Hon Adeke Anna Ebaju (National Female Youth MP), Hon Nyanjura Doreen (Deputy Lord Mayor), Hon Lilian Aber (Chairperson National Youth Council and Presidential Advisor ), Hon Elakuna Isaac (Soroti Municipal Speaker) among others.

At a professional level, Ocan has served in various capacities in veterinary and health sectors.
At community level, he has engaged women, youths and parents in livelihood and education programs.
"Otwakai, with the above experience, I feel that there is no better time than now for Ngora county to select and send, not just any one but the best alternative. Teso needs a new breed of vibrant leaders who mean well for the common man. I have a vision for Ngora.
Here I am, please send me my people," Ocan begged as he waved bye to our snoop.
